When you’re dead you’re not, you’re more alive than
ever, up in Heaven or down in Hell,
the life we have now is to prepare us
for the real one to come, that’s what they say
at church and Sunday School and if not for
the Hereafter this life now wouldn’t be
much at all some say but I don’t want to
die at all, I want to live forever
where I am now, that seems better to me
than Heaven, I even told my Sunday
School teacher so but she shushed me and said
Gale, don’t ever let God hear you blaspheme
or He’ll send you the Angel of Death straight
-away, she was more scared than I was but
I had mercy and said I like new friends.
