Joshua St. Claire – Moon Haiku

Moon Haiku
Joshua St. Claire

dust devil
mayflies mistake a streetlight
for the Egg Moon

the sickle moon
swept up in the waves
cirrus radiatus

gunmetal moon
he thinks he can
change my mind

scent of snow
the moon multiplies
in mackerel clouds

moonlight filtering
through a dawn redwood
white clover

the size of the moon hydrangea

mercury-vapor moon
just beyond our grasp
last firefly

finding
what the crows found
sliver moon

bare granite
an Atlantic puffin turns over
a broken moon
